Mythic Cats (レジェンドにゃんこ Rejendo Nyanko, Legend Cats) are a type of Special Cat that can be unlocked from the Main Chapters, Legend Stages, and Heavenly Tower. Mythic Cats differentiate from other units in their general attributes, which are more in line with Uber Rare Cats or Legend Rare Cats, with higher stats, costs and recharge times. This makes them among the strongest non-gacha units in the game, at least in terms of stats. However, their overall level cap is more restrictive than most other units.

Critical Note

This ranking does NOT use the same methodology that’s used throughout this document for ubers. While most Mythic Cats are built similarly to ubers, their standard and balance is drastically different due to them being free units and impacted by their progression point.

It’s also worth saying that the letter grades for the Mythic Cats list is not proportional to the uber lists. Ururun ranking C tier on this list does NOT mean she ranks C tier on the uber list, these cats are being distributed in a vacuum.

Note on Investment

Since Mythic Cats are strictly intertwined with progression points, the time of which certain units are acquired will matter. This also includes their investment costs, meaning costs such as Baha/ Valk’s talents and the harsh acquisition of units like Luza/ Filibuster talents are accounted for and does impact their rank.

Valkyrie

A mid-ranger with solid stats and a high potential freeze against Traited. Has excellent mobility and deals lots of damage when strengthened. Poor survivability.

Bahamut

(Nuker Form): A backliner with very high damage per hit but low DPS. Extremely long foreswing and sluggish attack rate.

(Rusher Form): A rusher with monumental speed, damage, and DPS from blast. Essential in many strats and arguably the strongest offensive unit in the game.

Cat God

A mid-ranger with dodge and knockback against all enemies. Strong on short base length stages due to omni and as an occasional pusher.

Filibuster

A super backliner with massive damage and freeze against Traitless and Relic. Nukes huge damage but has long foreswing requiring a baiting play style.

Jagando

A mid-ranger with knockback against Traitless. Juggles hard Traitless enemies and deals good DPS. Has great mobility.

Ururun Wolf

A backliner who represents the golden standard. Has average DPS, range, and survivability but has poor HP. Occasionaly knockbacks Traited.

Li'l Nyandam

A super backliner with extremely low stats, poor offense, bad HP, and slow speed. Inflicts unreliable slow procs. Only notable for being a part of Lasvoss' combo.

Mina

A backliner with LD attacks that snipe enemies further back. Has excellent mobility and solid DPS. Weakens Relics but is used more for stats.

Musashi

A backliner with low stats all round. Is immune to waves and freezes Relics, neither of these niches are valuable.

Mecha Bun

A melee rusher that's strong against Relics. Has poor HP, burst, and DPS but has good mobility. Only ever used in easy low-DPS stages.

Idi

A rusher with insane damage against Relics. Nukes humongous damage, taking out massive chunks or chaining Relic bosses. Has great mobility and speed.

A mid-ranged tank against Traitless and Relic. Has great HP and good mobility. Notable for Tower bosses with his warp immunity.

A backliner who is a copypaste of Ururun Wolf but is superior through her weaken instead of knockback and added Behemoth slayer.

Doron

A kamikaze rusher who lands one attack and disappears. Bursts huge damage with a powerful surge that freezes and knockbacks Relics, offering synergy and control.

Naala

A mid-ranger who has strong and weaken against Relic. Deals huge damage across the field with LD and multi-hits. Notable for Behemoth combat from high bulk.

Hermit Cat

A mid-ranger with multi-hits to spam wave attacks across the field. Strong and curses Relics. Is extremely cheap with fast cooldown but has generally low stats.

Yulala

Socrates

Nova

A mid-ranger with LD explosions to slow Traited, control the field, and deal high damage and DPS. Primarily used to control Sages. Has mediocre survivability.

Newton

A sniper with high standing range and amazing survivability to stand afar. Deals high base damage and DPS. Effective against Sages and slows Red and Floating.

Frequently Asked Questions

"Why is pre-talent Bahamut so low? Was he falling off?"

Just before he got explosion, Bahamut was in the process of losing a lot of viability as he was too expensive for the damage he offered. Many units like Courier, Slime, and Can Can provided way cheaper options that dealt huge damage and got more value. Bahamut was too risky to use in most late game stages. This of course is no longer true with how Bahamut overpowered stat creep by simply doubling his offense and adding pierce.

"Why is Mina so low? Isn't she a good sniper?"

For early UL and SOL 4 crown, yes. But once Uril true form is acquired, she becomes completely outclassed.

"Why are Luza and Filibuster so low? Aren't they powerful nukers?"

Unlike the uber list, progression unlock has to be accounted for with the nature of how these units are unlocked. Knowing this, both Luza and Filibuster Talents are acquired way too late to be useful. You need to beat UL 1 crown to access these units (and Filibuster Outbreak is heinously difficult) which means you have access to Idi true form by the time you're on the path to unlocking these units. Idi true form completely outclasses Luza in all aspects except for Relic + Behemoth enemies. Not even 12-3 is viable, Idi is superior on Luza's best stage. Infernal Tower re-clears are also futile because Idi nukes more effectively and faster with speed. Luza has lost all purpose. Same story for Filibuster who misses out on stages like Kawano and Floor 50 on both towers.
