This ranking does NOT use the same methodology that’s used throughout this document for ubers. The standard and balance is drastically different than ubers due to them being extremely easy to acquire.
It’s also worth saying that the letter grades for this tier list is not proportional to the uber lists. A unit ranking C tier on this list does NOT mean they rank C tier on the uber list, these cats are being distributed in a vacuum.
The general idea of this tier list is that Gacha Super Rares will be ranked by their usefulness across the entire game. This includes all portions from Early to Post game.
Across earlier parts of the game, Gacha Super Rares will be evaluated at around level 30~40 with little to no talents and no stat talents. For late-end game, I assume level 50 units with key talents unlocked and stat talents if demanded. For post game content, I assume fully maxed cats. Units will not be evaluated with + levels as the game is specifically designed to be beatable without massive boosting.
Combos are accounted for. However, uber rare combos will not be accounted since Battle Cats is designed specifically to be played uberless.

https://battlecats.miraheze.org/wiki/Nymph_Cat_(Super_Rare_Cat)
"Why is Nymph so low? She's one of the best non-uber cats for Villainous Gods."
Villainous Gods remains to be Nymph's only true powerful stage. She is viable against Aku and Angel, but has her stats overshadowed by Vaulter. In this manner she isn't unique enough to warrant a higher rank.
"Why is Cyberpunk so high? He is slow and not fun to use."
Cyberpunk is one of the most versatile units in the game due to his range. You can use him as support on almost any stage as long as they don't have something insane like a wave enemy sniping to 1200 range. Cyberpunk's rank is more justified through his viability on the hardest stages which has been a historical strength of this unit. Cyberstacking is one of the most reliable ways to cancel out enemy comps that would've otherwise been unstallable. Ironically, Cyberstacking actually saves more time for the end user compared to fiddling and failing with a unique strategy on a difficult stage.
"Why is Sniper the Recruit so high? He is single target."
See above. Sniperpunk is the upgraded version of Cyberpunk to counter many modern hardest stages. Sniper doesn't get as high of a rank as Cyberpunk since Sniper is reliant on Cyber, but Cyber isn't in that he has strategies that work without Sniper. Cyber's AOE also gives more versatility on common stages.
"Kotatsu should be higher than Sushi/ Swimmer above Surfer/ Kotatsu above Surfer/ Vaulter below Swimmer/ Drama above Weightlifter/ etc. etc. etc"
Many of the high ranking super rares across S to A rank are EXTREMELY close in viability and usefulness to the point where you could argue any of these placements above the other depending on the scenario. This is because all of the high ranking super rares are excellent specialists built for their own respective usages. This makes ranking and comparing them abnormally more difficult compared to the gacha rare tier list. Your best takeaway from this is to acknowledge that they are built for their own usages and are effective as such.
