“Why is Anubis above non-UT Amaterasu? Amaterasu has faster foreswing!”
Anubis straight up beats Amaterasu in almost every stat. Anubis can match Amaterasu’s DPS except he has higher burst with surge, has wave immune, surge immune, shield piercer, and slow immunity along with having some of Amaterasu’s own abilities such as Barrier Breaker and Z Killer. He also carries the advantage of relying on straight base stats instead of massive damage, meaning Anubis has better performance against Aku, Relic, and most obviously Traitless. The only advantage Amaterasu has over Anubis is survivability, which pretty obviously does not outweigh the whole arsenal of advantages Anubis carries.
“Why is Poseidon so high? Wasn't he a mid-tier uber and a decent specialist at most?”
It’s the savage blow. 300K damage worth of burst is just completely cracked for a rusher, especially one that has good cost, cooldown, lots of rebound, good HP, and is slightly ranged. Poseidon still has the advantage of being a CC unit which gives him a multi purpose usage compared to other kamikaze/ rusher units, and the fact that he has a zombie niche already makes him an anti zombie rusher by default with his Z Killer. The main emphasis is still his savage blow damage and numerous qualities he carries, his overall performance as a rusher/ DPS based unit can be compared to Yukimura and hits as hard as Balrog, and is in a way sort of a hybrid between the two.
“Why is Chronos ranked so high? Her freeze duration and uptime is so short.”
Chronos is one of the most unique and powerful synergy units in the game. Even though she doesn’t fit traditional meta in that she is not a speed/ offense based unit, her freeze procs fit very well in supporting said meta. To provide some examples: units like Can Can, Slime, Supercar, Balrog, and Yukimura gain a huge leverage/ ease of usage when paired with Chronos who can exponentially increase the value of these units as her freeze procs can create a very safe opening for these units to connect. Even though the uptime may not be fantastic, the actual duration and properties of the proc (such as freezing every enemy on the field with a large AOE) end up creating a support unit who directly benefits your most meta units, and thus becomes meta herself.
“Why is Gaia so low? Wasn't she the best legend rare at some point?”
Almighties standard is bloated. Her placement isn’t technically “low.” However I do want to mention that Gaia is much lower here compared to my video ranking because she is way too inconsistent with how large her blindspot is, though that’s not to completely discredit the ludicrous payoff with Gaia when you can find proper synergy.
“Why is Ganesha so high? Aren’t they very generic?”
Ganesha is basically what you get if you traded Dark Kasli’s control abilities with one, singular powerful nuke and arguably stronger DPS. My guess as to why this question is asked frequently is because a lot of people own Dasli/ Phonoa or other powerful LD generalists (likely from save editing or seed tracking). There’s no reason to get Ganesha UT’s with these top ubers that fulfill/ satisfy similar roles, therefore most people won’t actually understand his potential to outperform top options in specific scenarios.
