The Battle Cats Tier List - Tier List Information

Located in their respective tabs are tier lists for all 11 normal gacha sets + extra banners in the game with each tier being ordered as best to worst from left to right.

I am including these tier lists for convenience as well as a demonstration over how the methodology for my rankings videos will go.

If you see something you don’t like, it is most likely because of a methodology difference. Look back at this document if you are confused over a certain uber’s placement.

It is important to account that the quality of a tier list depends on how well it follows it’s methodology, not if X unit is higher/ lower than Y unit.

P Coin and Ultra Form Icons

Since Ultra Talents and Ultra Forms are not very accessible by common player, the tier lists will distinguish ubers evaluated based off of these criteria by indicating them with either a P Coin icon or use their Ultra Form icon.

The uber will be placed twice by doing this, one with their P Coin/ Ultra Form Icon and one without their P Coin/ Ultra Form Icon. The one without the icons will be evaluated based off of no Ultra Talents/ Ultra Form. Greyed out icons indicate that said uber has a UT or UF placement.

In terms of average set ranking, I will be using the maximum rank and ignore the untalented/ no ultra form rank (ex: UT Akira will be tallied for points and non-UT Akira will be ignored).

THESE LISTS ARE ALWAYS SUBJECT TO CHANGE. If you see something you disagree with, I am always open on Discord and will respond to questions and suggestions for these lists. You can find my contact at the end of this document.

Tier Definitions

SSS: Exclusive to units considered arguably the best unit in the entire game. Currently only two ubers meet this criteria being both Lunos’.

SS: Top of the end game meta, only a few sets will even display this tier. Exclusive to ubers ranked within the top 10.

S: Extremely overpowered units who excel in their niche and general end game performance. Ubers that typically land around the top 30 are placed here.

A: Insanely powerful units who only suffer from minor blemishes. Shines above lower tiers either through surpassing generalist expectations or being particularly powerful at their niche.

B: Very strong units who are often used as powerful specialists.

C: Average units who are sufficient for their usage and offer a well balanced kit.

D: Slightly below average units who may struggle in a few of their designated departments. Typically have niche overlaps with a non uber unit or have generic roles.

E: Bad units who do not offer value through their niche, usually being outclassed by a handful of non uber options both in niche and generalist aspects. Only spared from F due to very small and situational scenarios.

F: Garbage units who have little to no use. Either completely outdone by non uber units or serve zero purpose to exist.

If you are going to share these tier lists without the context of this document, then you have failed to understand the importance of methodology in a ranking. As always, take every ranking with a grain of salt.

Positive and Negative Icons

Certain placements will be accompanied with either a positive or a negative sign at the bottom left corner of their icon. This is to indicate their stance within their tier.

A positive icon indicates that the uber is a high end placement of their tier.

A negative icon indicates that the uber is a low end placement of their tier.

Ubers that lack any positive or negative sign are mid tiers/ comfortably placed within their letter grade.
