There are a few play styles/ options you can use to play battle cats. Play style is essentially just the way you beat stages, and most stages have different ways of beating them, some play styles being more effective than others.

For the most part, play styles can be separated into two categories: fast and slow. A fast play style involves utilizing quicker, higher mobility units with bigger offensive potential, at the cost of consistency/ safety.

On the other hand, a slower play style can be crowd controlling or sniping. Beating stages this way utilizes much slower units with lower offense, but having more reliability and potentially harder carrying when warranted.

For my methodology, Speed and DPS will take priority. Units that tend to pour more weight with higher stats (especially in mobility) will be more likely to rank higher than units who are slower at killing.

There are many exceptions to this, and for the most part play style preference will not be a primary factor towards the rank and will serve mostly as a factor of skewing when placements are too close.

True performance and effectiveness, whether it be in a slow or fast play style, will still be what matters most.
