Throughout my rankings, I give a priority score to any UF (Ultra Form) or UT (Ultra Talent) uber that I showcase. There are 4 different ranks being Do not invest, Questionable, Viable investment, and Top Priority to indicate how worth it is to invest XP, darkeyes, and possibly NP in order to bring the unit to its full potential.

The most important thing to account for is that this is NOT a concrete guide that every player is obliged to follow. The truth is that whether or not something is worth investing in completely depends on where you are at in the game as well as your current uber collection. A player who has just entered Uncanny Legends will find Gigapult to be their single best investment, whereas a post game player may see more appeal in the convenience a unit like Ultra Kaguya gives in eliminating Metals without the need of RNG. Both investments are valid in their own takes and completely depend on the situation and collection of the player.
With that said, I have still decided to create a more “general” guide based off of common pitfalls that many UF or UT may experience. There are a few factors that play into whichever priority rank a UF or UT has, determined by the following list below.
1. Does the enhanced uber provide a role or specialty that would be valuable in most collections?
2. How much does the uber improve compared to their pre-enhanced state?
3. How likely are you to already boost this uber up to level 50 or even 60 regardless of enhancement?
4. How expensive is the resource cost to bring this unit to their viable max potential? (Includes evolution and NP costs for all forms and talents).
Here’s an example with Anubis Ultra Talent.
Uniqueness: The biggest failing point of Anubis’ Ultra Talent is uniqueness. His role as a backliner is generic and can be found in other ubers such as Amaterasu, Gao, Dioramos, and even expand to other generally good generalists like Dasli and Phono. The more common this sort of archetype is, the less valuable Anubis’ UT will be for more players. Anubis may be better than some of these options especially in certain cases, but these alternatives require much less investment and allow you to use those resources to cover other niches instead of beating a dead horse.
Power: Anubis is among one of the most powerful backliners in the game which is his selling point for his UT. If invested early, he does break nearly every wave/ surge based stage in the game which notably includes Kappy Kawano, where a UT Anubis can lead into an early acquisition of Corn Cat. However, Anubis’ investment cost is extraordinarily high.
NP Requirement: Anubis has by far one of the absolute worst NP requirements in the game, requiring 1655 NP in order to fully max and still requiring 1195 NP even if you exclude his Barrier Breaker and Cost Down talents which are his least important talents. This extreme bar in NP drastically reduces his practicality.
While Anubis does become one of the single strongest backliners in the game, the lack of uniqueness in his role means you can find similar or possibly better options if you are lucky enough to own said ubers. The extreme NP bar also makes him unfathomably inaccessible and not practical for the majority of players. The most likely players to invest into Anubis are those who are unlucky and were not able to pull strong generalist backliners as well as players desperate for a good surge killer. Due to the many “ifs” for whether or not you should invest into Anubis, his priority is ranked clearly as questionable.
The last thing to mention in general is that Ultra Forms pretty much always have a very clear advantage over Ultra Talents due to the NP costs of UF’s being vastly lower than UT’s. The majority of UF’s also just simply benefit way more than the average UT.
